10% Increase in Dearness Allowance for Teachers/Non-Teachers in West Bengal

The Governor of West Bengal has approved an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for teaching and non-teaching employees of specified educational institutions. The DA is raised from 141% to 151%, effective from January 1, 2024.

The undersigned is directed by the order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to raise Dearness Allowance of Teaching and Non-teaching employees of Anglo Indian Schools, DA getting schools (Primary & Secondary) and Non-Govt. Sanskrit Tols in West Bengal, who drawing their pay in the pre-revised pay structure as per recommendation of the 5th Pay Commission from 141% to 151% with effect from 01/01/2024.

This approval is accorded in terms of the concurrence of the Finance Department, Group P2, Govt. of West Bengal vide their U.O. No. Group P2/2024-2025/0196 UO date: 10/06/2024.
