Overview of Madhyamik Pariksha 2024
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced the results for the Class 10 Madhyamik Pariksha 2024. Chandrachur Sen from Cooch Behar achieved the highest score with 693 marks, equating to a 99% score. This year, 118,411 students have been placed in the first division, representing 12.98% of the total candidates. The overall pass percentage for the Class 10 exams is 86.31%.
Review and Scrutiny Application Process
The Review and Scrutiny process, which includes Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) and Post Publication Review (PPR), is available for the 2024 Madhyamik Pariksha. Applications must be submitted online through www.wbbsedata.com. Candidates who have passed can apply for PPS, while those who did not pass can apply for PPR. All applications must be submitted through the respective schools by the deadline of May 18, 2024.
How to Apply for Review and Scrutiny
- Application Process: Heads of Institutions should visit https://www.wbbsedata.com starting from 12 noon on May 2, 2024, and follow the instructions provided under the “Instruction” tab.
- Application Fees:
- PPS: ₹80 per subject for successful candidates.
- PPR: ₹100 per subject for unsuccessful candidates.
- Schools may charge a nominal fee of ₹2 per candidate for incidental expenses if required.
Application Requirements: Candidates must submit a request for PPS or PPR on plain paper to the Head of their Institution, including their Name, Roll Number, Subject(s), a photocopy of the Mark Sheet, and the prescribed fees (in cash).
Difference Between PPS and PPR
- PPS (Post Publication Scrutiny): For candidates seeking a review of their answer scripts.
- PPR (Post Publication Review): For candidates who wish to apply for a review after not passing the exam.
