Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2024

The 17th edition of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge has recently been launched. The challenge is designed to engage young minds with informative learning resources, interactive experiences like webinars and workshops, and fun quizzes that build knowledge, character, and team spirit.

In 2023, the focus was on birds, with over 350,000 students from 1,600 schools in 95 countries participating. They learned about the diverse adaptations and survival strategies of birds worldwide.

Theme 2024: Reptiles – “The Ultimate Scaly Survivalists”

Reptiles are fascinating creatures found across every continent except Antarctica. This year’s challenge will explore the diversity within this group, dispel myths, and uncover the amazing characteristics, adaptations, and behaviors that have helped reptiles thrive for millions of years.

Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2024 Details

• Round 1: Classroom Level
• Mode: Paper and pencil test
• Description: E-question paper sent to schools; all registered students take the quiz. The top 30 students from each grade (6th-9th) proceed to the next round.
• Timeline: July-August 2024
• Round 2: School Level
• Mode: Digital on itza.io
• Description: 10-day learning journeys with quizzes and activities; competition between schools. Two students from each school qualify for the state-level round.
• Timeline: 26th August – 9th September 2024
• Round 3: State Level
• Mode: On-ground
• Description: Eligible schools/students compete at the state level.
• Timeline: September-October 2024
• Round 4: Semi-Final
• Mode: Digital
• Description: The top-winning school from each state participates in the digital semi-final round.
• Timeline: November 2024
• Round 5: National Final
• Mode: On-ground
• Description: The top 6 teams from the semi-final round qualify for the national level round in Delhi.
• Timeline: November 2024
• International Level
• Mode: Digital on Zoom
• Description: The national-level winning school joins the international finale with winning teams from different countries.
• Timeline: December 2024

Registration Details

• Registration Fee: Free
• Registration Date: Open until 31st July 2024

Upon successful registration, schools will receive access to digital learning materials to prepare for the quiz and the course on reptiles. Schools are encouraged to share this information with students.

Prizes for Students

• All participants will receive a digital participation certificate.
• The top 30 classroom challenge winners will receive printed certificates.
• State-level winners will receive certificates, trophies, and exciting prizes/goody bags.
• The top 3 national-level winning teams will win a sponsored trip to a forest area/national park/sanctuary.
• The winning school will earn a rolling trophy.
