Eligibility Criteria:
- For Students in: Class VIII
- Schools: Recognized Government, Government Aided, Local Body, or Government Sponsored Schools, including Madrasahs of West Bengal (excluding residential schools)
- Educational Requirement: Minimum 55% marks in Class VII final exams (50% for SC, ST, and disabled candidates)
- Income Proof: Parental income should not exceed ₹3,50,000 per annum
- Excluded Institutions: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, State Government-run residential schools, or private schools

- Application Period: 15.07.2024 to 14.08.2024

- Filled application form
- Certificate from the Head of the School/Institution
- Annual income certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph in JPG format (max 50 KB, 3.5 x 4.5 cm)
- Bank account details (preferably Aadhaar-seeded)
Important Instructions:
- Income Certificate:
- For salaried individuals: Employer certificate (01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024)
- For others: Certificate from a competent authority (01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024)
- Bank Account & Aadhaar:
- Must have an account in SBI or any Public Sector Bank/scheduled bank (single or joint, with the student as the first holder in case of a joint account)
- If applicants have Aadhaar Cards, the bank account mentioned must be Aadhaar-seeded
- Admit Card: Notification for downloading will be available on the scholarship portal
- Application Submission: Complete only with all required documents uploaded; incomplete submissions will result in cancellation of candidature

- Syllabus: Class VII and VIII level
- Exam Pattern:
- Mental Ability Test: 90 Marks
- Scholastic Aptitude Test: 90 Marks
- Duration: 90 minutes for each test
- No Negative Marking
Educational Districts:
- Barrackpore Education District: Includes Barrackpore & Bidhannagar Sub-Divisions
- Siliguri Education District: Includes Siliguri Sub-Division
- Note: Choose the district where the school is located.
State Quota and Selection:
- Quota: 7,250 beneficiaries for West Bengal
- Selection: Based on eligibility and tie-breakers (date of birth if necessary)
- Cancellation: False information or incomplete documents will result in cancellation

- Examination Fee: None
Final Authority: Decisions of the Directorate of School Education, West Bengal are final in case of disputes.
