Subject: Advisory regarding prevention of unnecessary use of electrical power in schools/offices
Summary of the Advisory:
The Directorate has observed instances of inefficient and unnecessary use of electrical power in schools, sometimes extending beyond school hours. All school authorities are advised to be vigilant and to avoid any unnecessary use of electricity. Similar vigilance is required in the offices of the Directorate and its subordinate officers.
Officials, including Shikshabandhus, are advised to visit schools under their jurisdiction beyond school hours for random checks to ensure there is no misuse of power. A Google form for daily reporting of these visits will be provided separately.
Purpose of the Advisory:
To ensure efficient use of electrical power and prevent wastage in schools and offices.

Content Summary:
This notification is in compliance with the advisory issued by the Commissioner of School Education (Memo No. CSE/036/2024 dated 20.06.2024). Heads of all recognized secondary schools under WBBSE are notified to remain extremely vigilant regarding the unnecessary use of electrical power in schools.

To implement the directive from the Directorate of School Education across all recognized secondary schools under the WBBSE.
